Windows Phone 7 available on all UK networks

Microsoft has announced that devices running the operating system will be available across all five UK networks. Orange UK has been announced as the Windows Phone 7′s “Lead Partner”.

Windows Phone 7 on all UK networks

Alex Reeve, Director, Mobile Business Group, Microsoft UK, said “It is wonderful now to have all of the UK’s network operators supporting the launch of Windows Phone 7. This means we can provide network choice and also a range of phones across networks for customers to choose from.”

The phone will link into the Zune Pass music subscription service, recently announced to be available in the UK and Europe, and will also connect to the Xbox Live service allowing you to keep up with your Xbox Live friends and even play certain games on the Windows Phone 7 device. Still no confirmed release date, but our previous story of an October 11th date still looks promising.

Orange UK, which will soon merge with T-Mobile, will be their Windows Phone 7′s lead partner.
