Review: Drop Box | Web Storage of a new kind

The world of android keeps getting bigger and better as time passes, the number of applications present for the android system keeps growing day by day.

Dropbox is a cloud service which automatically synchronizes a file or folder between different systems. The android version of this service is very useful and is a great tool for business minded people. The application allows the user to open documents from their personal computer or from their office computer, which ever it may be, pictures or documents even videos depending of your connectivity.

The service is very easy to use and install, just download and install the client on your android phone and your computer, signup for a drop box account and use that account to log in to your files from any  of your platforms you have Dropbox installed in. adding files could not have been easier, all you have to do is drag and drop your file or folder to the Dropbox folder in your phone and your phone will immediately start updating your account.

Dropbox offer a free storage limit of 2GB per signup, other services exist but have a fee. Dropbox has a great value system where it awards current users for inviting more people; the reward of course is free storage space.

The application offers a lot of security for your files, it uses SSL for secure transfers, and encrypts all files with AES-256 before storing them on its servers, though there is a public folder available in Dropbox through which you can share your files with the world

Dropbox is a very handy tool for anyone and everyone, no need to carry your USB Flashdrive everywhere with you and transitions to a new pc or phone couldn’t be easier.
