We looked at Sky Go, the mobile TV App from Sky when it launched back in July, its a great service that lets you watch limited channels for movies and sports. We also covered how to switch devices easily to give you more flexibility.
Today SKY have announced they have improved the Sky Go App increasing the range of live movie channels available, and also adding on demand movies too making the range of content available over the App much greater.
All 11 live movie channels will now be available, plus the huge array of films in the Sky Anytime+ line-up, including some Box Office titles.
Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies, commented:
Sky Movies on demand is a great addition to Sky Go and gives customers complete control over how, when and now where they enjoy the latest movies. Whether customers want to kick back at home and watch the latest movies in widescreen 3D or HD, catch a movie on the laptop while on holiday or at the office, or watch a blockbuster out and about on their phone or tablet, we’ve got it covered. Alongside other recent additions to Sky Movies like Anytime+ and 3D, the launch of Sky Movies on Sky Go helps customers get even more value out of Sky.
Also, up until now Sky Go has only been available on the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, but Sky have announced there will be an Android version coming in the next few months. Next year the Sky Go experience will be supported by the ability for Sky customers to use at least 5,700 public Wi-Fi hotspots, spanning coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, transport hubs, hotels and gyms. This follows Sky’s acquisition of the Cloud, a leading public Wi-Fi network.
