HTC have announced that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will be coming to several handsets by the end of March 2012.
Released via their Facebook page HTC have said that the following handsets will receive ICS by the end of March:
HTC Sensation- HTC Sensation 4G
- HTC Sensation XE
- HTC Sensation XL
Also later this year the following further additional handsets will receive ICS:
- HTC Rezound
- HTC Vivid
- HTC Amaze 4G
- HTC EVO 3D
- HTC EVO Design 4G
- HTC Incredible S
- HTC Desire S
- HTC Desire HD
That’s a pretty comprehensive list of recent handsets, and HTC should be commended for their efforts at reducing the Android OS fragmentation that has beguiled Android so far. Of course, the delay is somewhat self inflicted as they update their own HTC Sense interface and other customisations on the handsets.
