The Android market, Google Music, and Google Books have been brought together and renamed to Google Play. Billed as the ultimate cloud solution, Google is giving everyone online storage, making anything you buy from Apps to books to movies stored online and available to you wherever you are on any device.
Any Android device running 2.2 or greater will have Android market automatically updated in the ‘coming days’ and there sill be big savings in the form of deals on various content items in the coming day by way of a launch celebration.
Built with social sharing in mind, anything you discover that you like is easy to share and recommend to your friends. “You can easily share posts about your favorite books, music, movies, games or apps to your circles on Google+, email, or text message in a single click.” If you share a song you’ve bought with a friend, they get a free listen so they can hear what it’s actually like.
Your content is billed as ‘Sync never‘ as its all just streamed to you while you’re online, but digging into the information a bit I’m pleased to see there is an option to ‘Pin‘ specific content to your mobile device for offline playback.
