Apple Issues Security Update To Close Flashback Botnet Exploit

Thursday we reported that according to Ivan Sorokin, a malware analyst at Dr. Web a Trojan botnet named ‘Flashback’ is infecting over 600’000 Macs worldwide through a Java exploit.

Yesterday Apple issued a second software update to address a security flaw on its OS X Lion 10.7 operating system, following up on the earlier security update for Snow Leopard. If you’re running Lion and haven’t applied the update yet, make sure you go and check for available software updates now.
