The main new features now available are:
My Commute – learns your driving preferences and uses information about the latest traffic conditions to help you choose between the different routes you usually take to get to the places you travel most. Nokia Drive will now pre-load traffic conditions based on your usual commuting time and have it available for you when you leave.
This feature will be rolled out based on the availability of traffic data, so if you don’t see it your area isn’t well covered yet.
Automatic Day / Night Colours – Nokia Drive will now automatically adjust your colour preference based on the time of day to make viewing the navigation instructions even easier.
Pin To Start – you can now PIN your favourite destinations to your Start screen, giving you quick access to fire up Nokia Drive ready to navigate you to your commonly used destinations.
The new version of Nokia Drive is labelled as 126.96.36.199, so check for that version when you launch Windows Phone Marketplace. If you see 188.8.131.52, then it’s the old version of Nokia Drive.
They also confirm that unlike Windows Phone 7 where Nokia Drive was exclusive to Nokia handsets, Nokia Drive will be made available to all Windows Phone 8 partners.
