The free WiFi service being provided at London Underground stations by Virgin Media is now live, and available at the first 40 stations.
The new WiFi service, first launched on June 7th, on London’s Underground is being used by over 100,000 Tube passengers and has been used to deliver one million Tweets, Facebook posts, emails and web pages in a single week.
Initially all internet access will be free, but after the summer only the new Virgin Media WiFi portal, with up-to-the-minute TfL travel news and content from Virgin Media’s WiFi partners will be free and there will be a range of subscription and PAYG pricing – yet to be announced.
