As previously rumoured, Apple have confirmed via invites that they will be holding a press event on September 12th, to introduce the next iPhone. The event will be held in San Francisco and starts at 1pm EDT which is 6pm BST in the UK.
The image shows the date in numbers as 12 but the shadow the numbers cast is a 5 leading to speculation that the next iPhone could in fact be launched as the iPhone5, not in recent iPad tradition the “New iPhone”. Alternatively Apple could be planning on releasing 5 new devices, or devices/services at the event, although this seems unlikely.
Although an iPad Mini has been heavily speculated with documents, parts and mouldings all reportedly leaked in the last few months, I believe the iPad Mini will have its own launch event in October as Apple prepares to take on the release of the Microsoft Surface RT tablet.
