I’m very excited about the Pebble watch that I backed on Kickstarter back in April this year. For anyone that’s managed to miss the most funded project ever on Kickstarter, Pebble is an e-ink display watch that will connect via Bluetooth to your Android handset or iPhone and provide you with a range of information and control from managing the music that’s currently playing, to showing you the names of incoming callers to displaying your text messages to you and a whole host more.

Today, Pebble email’d out asking people to confirm their shipping addresses, and to confirm the colour they would like, or optionally upgrade to a coloured Pebble if you just opted for the black one.

Shipping address and colour selection must be in by September 30th, so I’d assume shortly after that date they will begin to be sent out!

You can check out more details on the getpebble website, and the details of the full range of functions that Pebble supports are below.

  • Incoming Caller ID
  • Email (Gmail or any IMAP email account)
  • Calendar Alerts
  • Facebook Messages
  • Twitter
  • Weather Alerts
  • Silent vibrating alarm and timer

Check out this video demonstration for more information. If you didn’t back _Pebble on Kickstarter you can sign up for a pre-order now.
