Review: EaseUS Hard Drive Data Recovery Software
One of the most frustrating and annoying occurrences is loss of data, and let’s face it, we have all been there at some time in our lives. Whether you have just completed a 4,000 word essay for college that has accidently been deleted, or whether a collection of your favourite family photos have been lost in the abyss after formatting.
Well, you will be glad to know that there is a solution to recovering data from your PC, laptop, USB drive, SD card, and any other internal or external storage device. The solution comes in the form of a free data recovery software program that has been supplied by EaseUS.
I have just downloaded the program myself after a hard drive failure, which prompted me to scour the web for data recovery solutions. This comes in both PC and MAC formats, so allows anyone using a PC or Apple Mac the opportunity to use it.
I will talk you through this life saving bit of kit.
Ok, so first things first, I decided to head straight in and buy the full version to make sure I had access to every little feature.
The opening screen will show you 3 recovery options that you can choose from, and which one you choose depends on the type of problem you are in.
The 3 solutions are:
Delete File Recovery
This option allows you to recover any file that you may have deleted. So if like me, you put something in your recycle bin, and then emptied the recycle bin, you can still recover that file. It will ask you which type of files you have lost (graphic, document, email, audio, video or other), and then it will ask which partition you want to recover the deleted files from.
The program will then scan through your partition (I was using C:/) and then show you which files it has found, that you can preview and recover. If your files are not displaying in this solution mode, then it will prompt you to try the next solution, Complete Recovery.
This option is the ideal solution for those that have experienced something such as a malicious virus, power-outages, and formatting issues. The method is similar to the delete file recovery, however this time it will look into your recovery partitions, system partitions and your C:/.
It will then present a preview of all the files that it has found, giving you the option to restore files that you thought you had lost during formatting.
Finally, if you have deleted, corrupted or lost partitions on your PC or Mac, then this final solution will help you recover files from these volumes.
It works in exactly the same way as the processes above, using that same 2-step procedure of scanning for files, and then recovering them.
There are no catches that I have seen using this data recovery software, and the team at EaseUS do say that you get a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. They also say that the software is virus and plugin free, so that’s all the confidence I need.
Quick Final Round-Up
To clarify what this program can do, I have just broken it down into a few bullet points for you:
- Works on PC and MAC
- Fully recovers images, documents, videos, audios, emails and other file types
- Recovers data due to deleting, formatting, partition loss, and virus attacks
- Completely safe, no virus or plugins hidden in the software
- Very quick and easy-to-use – choose your recovery option, scan, and then recover
