CoPilot Launches New iPad App – CoPilot HD

ALK’s premium satellite navigation app for the iPhone just got a big brother in the form of CoPilot HD for the iPad. Celebrating its launch alongside the new iPad3 available from today, the CoPilot iPad App is discounted down to just £39.99 from its usual price of £47.99 until midnight Monday 19th March.

The CoPilot HD app takes advantage of the larger screen real estate on the iPad to provide easy to follow, crystal clear guidance. A split screen navigation view is designed specifically for the iPad, combining 3D or 2D maps with non-distracting turn instructions. Like the iPhone app the mapping data is stored directly on the device so there are no data costs needed to download map information. The app also includes drag-and-drop routing, alternative routes, lane assist arrows, Bing and Wikipedia search and social media integration.

With their larger screens, tablets offer a practical and clear platform for navigation, and we are seeing the demand for high-quality navigation apps on such devices continuing to rise. The new iPad is surely set to continue this trend, with its amazing high-res ‘retina’ screen allowing for incredibly sharp HD map displays and even clearer directions.

You can buy the CoPilot HD App directly from iTunes today.
