O2 are experiencing a widespread network outage today, starting from about lunchtime some O2 customers have experienced difficulty in making and receiving calls and text messages, or had no service at all. The problem also affects MVNOs like Tesco Mobile and GiffGaff that use O2 as their carrier network.
O2 engineers are continuing their work to fully restore service to customers with network issues as a priority, but an outage of this length is unusual and sure to disgruntle customers.
