Vodafone Launches 4G Network In London

Shortly after the announcement of its 4G tariffs, Vodafone has confirmed limited rollout of it’s new 4G service in London.

Vodafone will be switching on a new site every 30 minutes in the capital over the next two months as they expand their coverage.

The 4G tariffs all include a range on enticing add-ons to make the network more attractive:

  • Sky Sports Mobile TV or Spotify Premium add-on
  • Unlimited data for the first 3 months, and double the normal Red allowance after that.
  • Vodafone 5 Star Care – including data transfer services when upgrading and replacement handsets during repair

Guy Laurence, CEO, Vodafone UK said:

Vodafone Ultrafast 4G is here and we’re giving people a reason to get excited about it as we switch on a new site every 30 minutes. We’re bringing the capital closer to the action with Sky Sports and letting Londoners stream 20 million tracks with Spotify. We’re also giving the city’s busy businesses a boost by helping them take their office with them when they’re out and about. In fact, in the few days since we launched our 4G plans, more than 20,000 people have signed up. So, the question for Londoners now is: which do you want – music or sport?

Vodafone’s 4G network will be coming to Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield within a month as they push towards 98% population coverage.
