The latest apps to help you out in day to day life

Whatever we’re doing with our day, it seems it’s rare for an hour to pass where we haven’t taken our smartphones out of our bag or pocket and use them to complete a simple task. Whether it’s texting a friend, taking a photo or even searching for the cinema listings, it seems there is very little you can’t do on your phone.

But here are a few apps that you might not have thought about downloading to really enhance your smartphone.

If you use your phone for work, there are probably a lot of important files stored on your smartphone. If they hold sensitive information, then it’s important that they are kept safe and secure. It’s also important that if your phone was lost or stolen or anything was to go wrong with your device that your files weren’t lost forever. The Helium app lets you backup your apps and data to your device’s SD card or copy the information onto a cloud server. You can even set up a backup schedule and tell your phone to sync all of your files to a cloud server every month, week or even day.

If you work hard, it’s also important that you make time to relax and enjoy some entertainment. Now many of us are working more and more, it can often be hard to find time to relax in your busy schedule. If you commute on public transport, then downloading an online casino game onto your smartphone can be a welcome distraction from the day to day stress of your job. Coral have a wide range of online casino games, including classics like blackjack and roulette that you can play from the comfort of your phone. Unlike some games, Coral is regulated by the Gambling Commission, eliminating sleight of hand or any other dodgy tricks some companies use to try and cheat you out of your money.

If you prefer to use your phone for what it was originally invented for, then you might end up with a massive bill at the end of the month if you make lots of calls. Luckily there is even an app that can save you money on your phone bill. Nanu allows you to call almost anybody around the world for as long as you like, as many times as you like for free. Even if your friend or family member isn’t on a mobile phone, the app will even let you call a landline in over 50 countries around the world.

Although our smartphones are essential in our everyday lives, sometimes there are occasions where we really just want to put them down for a while. Whilst you can do most things you can do on your smartphone from your desktop or laptop, you might still have to keep checking your phone every few minutes for any important texts. Apps like Mighty Text let you read texts sent to your mobile from your desktop and even lets you reply to them without even having to look at your phone.

So whether its online casino games, file syncing apps or even just an app to stop you needing to use your phone so much, there are tons of apps out there to help make your life easier.
